Starting this Wednesday (Feb 8th) we will be running a new 8-Ball tournament at Gate City Billiards Club.  Each player will play only one rack against their opponent.  Then they will play a different player.  Your skill level will determine how many times you can lose.  You are eliminated when your losses equal 10 minus your skill level.

A skill level 7 is eliminated after 3 losses
A skill level 6 is eliminated after 4 losses
A skill level 5 is eliminated after 5 losses
Etc...etc.

Entry fee is $15

Tournament starts at 8:00, registration at 7:00

APA 8-ball handicaps will be used to start with but will be moved at our discretion there after

100% payout of entry fees (no greens fees)

Number of positions paid will be based on the size of the field

Most importantly, have fun.

]]> Prelims Weekend-Thank You number1977 http://triadapa.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2755 General Pool Discussion Mon, 06 Feb 2012 09:26:11 -0500 http://triadapa.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2755 I want to thank Shooter's for their hospitality once again during this weekend's Prelims.  I also want to thank Daniel, Tiffany, and all the various officials for putting on another great tournament and event.  The tournament went without any incidents and everyone seemed to have a good time.  I want to thank my team, Wait For It... for a great tournament.  I am proud of each and every player.  I am honored to be the captian of such a great group of friends .  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a great team and for getting us to the Finals in both 8 and 9 ball.  I also want to thank each of our opponents over the weekend.  We meet some great teams and some new players that we had never played.  We enjoyed each match and all of you played well.  I know by the level of competition, each of these teams will be back in the spring to claim their spot in the Finals.
